The Importance of Citywide Unity Prayer: The Body of Christ Coming Together for the Kingdom of God

Citywide Unity Prayer in Las Vegas and Henderson is more than a monthly gathering—it is a movement of believers from every background, denomination, and walk of life who come together as the Body of Christ to lift up prayer for the Kingdom of God.

Scripture teaches us the power of unity in prayer. Jesus Himself prayed in John 17:21, “that they all may be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.”

Every first Saturday of the month, Citywide Unity Prayer hosts gatherings at different churches across the Las Vegas valley. These gatherings focus on:

• Praying for Families and Leaders – lifting up homes, schools, and government in Nevada.
• Worship and Intercession – exalting the name of Jesus over the city.
• Kingdom Impact – declaring God’s will and His purposes for Las Vegas and Henderson.

Through these gatherings, believers have seen greater collaboration among churches, stronger connections across ministries, and a renewed hunger for revival in the region.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12 that the Body of Christ is made up of many parts, each with a unique function. Unity Prayer demonstrates this truth by bringing together pastors, churches, and believers who may worship differently but are united under one name: Jesus Christ.

This visible unity sends a powerful message to the community: the Church is alive, strong, and committed to seeking God together.
